Matchday thread - Toon v Borussia Dortmund
Getting this done now as I'll be too excited to do it in the morning, can't wait!
The third game of Newcastle's Champions League Group Stage campaign sees Borussia Dortmund debut at St. James' Park on Wednesday.
Unlike their Parisian counterparts, the visitors have taken their full 3,000 allocation of tickets.
It's an 8pm KO live on TNT Sports 2.
Elsewhere in our group that night, PSG host AC Milan.
Team: Harvey Barnes and Sven Botman miss out while it's anticipated that Sandro Tonali will have started his ban by Wednesday, although he was seen training alongside his colleagues on Tuesday.
Javier Manquillo, Emil Krafth, Matt Ritchie and Mark Gillespie were all omitted from United's CL squad while Joe Willock is back in training but not match fit.
While these two sides have never previously met, several current Magpies are no strangers to Dortmund.
Alexander Isak was with BVB from 2017 and 2019 - mainly for their B team - while Fabian Schar and Joelinton both faced Dortmund in the Bundesliga while with Hoffenheim, the latter netting against them.
Kieran Trippier meanwhile started for Spurs both home and away to Dortmund in the Europa League with Spurs in 2016, twice finishing on the losing side.
A year later he watched from the bench as Spurs won home and away in the Champions League and was similarly unused the following season as the Cockerels collected another six points in the same competition.
Coral price this tie as follows:
NUFC win 8/13
The draw 3/1
BVB win 21/5
BVB: Julian Ryerson didn't travel due to illness.
Edin Terzic's side finished second in the Bundesliga behind Bayern Munich last season, denied the title only on goal difference.
Ahead of their trip to SJP, The Black and Yellows beat Werder Bremen 1-0 at home on Friday to top the table - although they dropped back to fourth after their nearest rivals caught up on Saturday.
That extended their unbeaten domestic league record to 16 games since losing at Bayern Munich in April and just that single reverse in 27 Bundesliga outings.
So far in the Champions League, Dortmund have been beaten 0-2 in Paris and held to a scoreless draw at home by AC Milan.
They'll wear an all-yellow strip at SJP on Wednesday.

Can't wait for tonight and far too excited.
Not expecting to turn them over a la PSG but if we get at them from the off I'm expecting 3 points and to be smiling like a loon for a few days.

Any sort of win would be good .
I'll say 3-1

3-2 Toon, but as others say would be happy with a draw.
Can't wait, arrived at the hotel this morning to see the Dortmund players setting off for training and didn't see anything to frighten us!

Thoughts on ref?
Seems to be trying to let it flow and giving a bit of leeway given the conditions. I feel we go to ground a tad too easily expecting something.
