Matchday thread - Toon v Borussia Dortmund
Only realised last night that we're the early kick-off!
Game four of their Champions League Group F campaign sees Newcastle in Germany, debuting at the 81,000 capacity Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday.
It's a 5.45pm kick-off GMT (German time 6.45pm) and United's 3,900 allocation is sold out.
Team: The latest addition to a lengthening injury list is Dan Burn, expected to miss the remainder of the year with a back problem sustained against Arsenal.
He joins Sven Botman, Harvey Barnes, Jacob Murphy, Elliot Anderson, Matt Targett and Aleksander Isak on the sick list - the latter sighted in training this week but still some way off a recall. Sandro Tonali is of course suspended for the duration.
Bruno Guimaraes is available, but suspended for Saturday's Premier League trip to Bournemouth. Returning after illness is Lewis Miley.
Javier Manquillo, Emil Krafth, Matt Ritchie and Mark Gillespie were all omitted from United's CL squad.
BVB: Edin Terzic's side saw their nine game unbeaten Bundesliga run this season end on Saturday, when they were hammered 0-4 at home by Bayern Munich.
Referee: Alejandro José Hernández (Spain)
VAR: tbc
UK TV: Live on TNT Sports
UK Radio: Live on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport
Stats:
The Magpies are unbeaten in Germany to date:
2001/02 1860 Munich won 3-2 (IT)

If we lose this then p3 is our nest hope I think (which I'd have taken at the start). A draw/win and we're still well in the mix. Will be interesting to see how they respond to losing 0-4 to Bayern.
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?

No Krafth or Ritchie today as they weren't put forward for the Euro squad back in August.
Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Borussia Dortmund
Or Gillespie, don't forget him!
Seems really harsh we have to waste a spot on Tonali.

Interesting, Livramento in front of Trippier again, and presumably Joelinton left wing? We're obviously weakened by injuries but I'm surprised to see Gordon and Miggy on the bench. Good impact subs, and they're probably knackered.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Borussia Dortmund
Didn't see that coming but we can do this 2-1 Toon, howay the lads!
Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Borussia Dortmund
Wasn't expecting tino and hall playing, but should be a good game.
Hopefully we can snatch a win

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Borussia Dortmund
TNT (presumably Jenas) has gone for Hall and Willock on the wings. I'd be absolutely stunned.

Good evening lads, I hope you're all in the rudest of health. I hope I'm not black balled from this fine site after such a long absence, it's a long story. My old username was jimileysbaldhead but when I attempted to log in it seemed to present an issue which I'm too old and dim to sort out.
Really looking forward to tonight with my usual loss making confidence and think we can win this.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Borussia Dortmund
Only a matter of time before they score. Feel like we really needed to get at least a point when we played these at home.
