Very loose tonight, thankfully they are not the greatest of finishers or we’d be losing this.
Yet again we are screaming needy for a cdmf.
Making crazy ambitious passes.
Someone needs to be in there helping Bruno.
This is painful.

Our problems are much deeper than a CDM I'm afraid, abysmal in every area of the pitch.

This. We look so bad at times.. caught in possession, numerous misplaced passes, too slow/sluggish on and off the ball. If we don't wake up.. we'll end up crashing out as that Blackburn forward with the yellow hair looks pacey, they look dangerous on the counter/transition and they've defend very well. If things don't change after the hour get Barnes on for Murphy and Miley/Anderson on for Longstaff. We look tepid and too passive overall need to up the pace and tempo. If we lose this.. Howe will be under pressure. <urgh>

Blackburn are looking pretty well organised when they haven't got the ball. We're far too slow, being closed down quickly and then play breaks down with some loose and lazy passing.

Credit to Blackburn so far. We've got to really up our game to get anything in this match

I think Tripps has made more square and back passes than any probing forward ones.
Sums it up

Was disappointed today's match is on a subscription channel here and not the more common sports network FA cup matches are normally aired on, especially since I'm working from home this afternoon...sounds like I'm not missing anything.

I used to have a lot of confidence that we'd respond in the second half and show a new approach or level of effort, and I know we've had some comebacks of late - but I'm a lot less certain these days.

We are just so narrow tonight of all nights.

Let's add Blackburn to the list of teams we should be beating that have completely outclassed us on the pitch. Just hope the board have the balls to get rid of Howe at the end of the season. No way back for him imo.

For all Murphy’s wanking over Blackburn, if they’re so good, and if there are “no passengers in this team” then why are they 16th in the Championship? There’s certainly not 15 amazing teams above them.
