Agree.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 6:06 pmNeed to bin off the medical team, this has been an issue for him all season yet they held off on the surgery and tried to bodge his recovery. This is the s**** you get when you have a jobs for the boys attitude from the management team, ownership needs to grow a set and reign in Howe and strip him of control of half this s****, or better yet get rid this summer completely.
Owners must be looking at the trend here across the injury’s getting picked up and the apparent issues around treatment and returning players to match fitness.
They must be asking questions.
This season in particular seems to be a major shortcoming within the current club regime.

Willock reportedly needs an op in summer too…

Re: Days lost through injury
Tbh operations are usually a last resort solution unless 100% needed.
So I wouldn't put all the blame on the club as they would have looked at all possibilities before having to accept surgery for it.

We'd have the best squad cohesion in the league. (Because of all the glue).

I say again... f*** this season in its entirety.
It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

Lascelles has done his ACL and out for 6-9 months. Real shame for him at this stage of his career.

After seeing a specialist consultant, he is expected to undergo surgery next week and will be out for 6-9 months.
Everyone at Newcastle United extends their best wishes to Jamaal for a full and speedy recovery.

Re: Days lost through injury
The only silver lining is that Burn now has to play at centre back where he’s more suited (and can be third choice next season when we sign a new CB) and *hopefully* Hall gets a run at LB.
f*** knows what’s happened to Targett.

Re: Days lost through injury
You're thinking too logically here, more likely that Krafth or Dummett play CB with Burn still at LB.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sun Mar 31, 2024 2:05 pmThe only silver lining is that Burn now has to play at centre back where he’s more suited (and can be third choice next season when we sign a new CB) and *hopefully* Hall gets a run at LB.

Re: Days lost through injury
Though in all honesty the logical switch yesterday would have been Lascelles for Dummett, that way the only defensive switch is moving Schar to his correct position.
I can see a mix of both, Hall in for "easier" home fixtures, then potentially Burn LB and Krafth/Dummett CB for others.

Hoping that Hall gets a run of games and impresses in the run in
