Miley having surgery on his back, recovery time is around 12 weeks.
Is this considered a start of new 24-25 bad luck? Or the last example of 23-24 bad luck?
I’m reading it as the injury was sustained in 23/24, so last seasons bad luck <laugh>

Apparently so yes.

He was a massive loss last year.

He does give us something extra, tho after 2 serious injuries we don't know how he'll be when he comes back. Literally played almost no football last season.

If nothing else, for the first 2 games we'll have no Miley, Anderson (sold), Tonali and maybe some others.

so having Willock fit would be big. Hopefully Sean Longstaff doesn't play every game this year

I think price and the fact he's pretty settled will mean Bruno stays. He'll be too expensive as the fee and likely wage demands make it a very expensive deal for a position City are not at all desperate in.

I think summer 2025 is almost nailed, but not this summer.

Well, what a surprise Wilson is injured and may miss the start of the season.

EDIT:- Didn't see this on the transfer thread, thought it was my exclusive!

Surprise Surprise guess who's injured again, that's right Callum Wilson.

If we got any form of decent offer for him in January I'd be accepting
I'll Hazard a guess

...which we won't cuz he's always f***ing injured <laugh>

But I agree. Great servant to the club and all that, but at this point he's just an empty kit.

FFS. Hamstring injury. He's f***ed. Need a striker in the January window. Even if it's just a loan to cover Wilson.

I don't think we even need a decent offer, any offer. He's been a great player for us when called upon, and on his day as clinical as they come. Unfortunately, he just can't stay fit. Hopefully he moves to a 'lesser' league amd can regain some fitness, and just bang the goals in to finish his career on the high.

He’s out of contract in the summer, wouldn’t be surprised if we offered him a contract extension.

FML put him down.

No way he gets a new contract, he's missed more than half of the games since we signed him. He's not even been rushed back or had lots of minutes put though his legs.

Time to move on. Good luck to him, great when rarely fit.

In the current PSR climate I’d be amazed! Given that nobody is paying a fee for him they’re not committing about £80k a week for him now. Might as well play a traffic cone, sadly.
