Great run by willock to give Murphy a tap in, hope he gets a good run of games without injuries, only 9 apps last season he's another who's like a new signing

Would be great to see Willock injury free and full throttle. Really missed him last season.FOGGONTHETYNE wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 8:43 pmGreat run by willock to give Murphy a tap in, hope he gets a good run of games without injuries, only 9 apps last season he's another who's like a new signing

Sanusi is gonna be a star! So good.
Hopefully we don't sell him to Brighton on 30th June.

Dubravka, Trippier (C), Schar, Kelly, Lewis. Almiron, Willock, Bruno G, Harrison, Barnes. Osula.
Could be interesting to see Osula have a good run out, Schar and Kelly together in the centre, and maybe a bit more from the lad Harrison.

Barnes with a goal. Be like a new signing, and a good one if that, if he can stay fit

What a clever way to get a break with ffp.

outstanding play by Barnes from a hopeful hoof upfield done well to keep it in for starters, the rest was just quality........the sale of st maxy broke my heart, but slowly accepting that barnesy can also produce the same magic, but more often with an end product.

Yeah in theory Barnes should be an upgrade because of consistency. Of course needs to stay fit for thatFOGGONTHETYNE wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 12:10 amoutstanding play by Barnes from a hopeful hoof upfield done well to keep it in for starters, the rest was just quality........the sale of st maxy broke my heart, but slowly accepting that barnesy can also produce the same magic, but more often with an end product.

Yeah, if you had to put money on someone putting the ball in the net you'd back Barnes all day long over ASM.Colback's Orange Tufts wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 8:04 amYeah in theory Barnes should be an upgrade because of consistency. I think both are exciting players in different ways, Barnes is very direct and has a good shot on him, ASM was obviously Mr Trickery and try to beat 5 men.

I think we have seen enough of Barnes on the pitch already to know he's going to be a game changer if fit and has a prolonged run In the first team. His biggest issue is we also have Anthony Gordon which will really impact game time, unless we utilise both with one of both playing RW.

Re: Pre-season 2024-25
Yeah, you only have to look at his record in the season that Leicester went down, and glimpses last season that he's easily get double figure goals given enough games. I do think we'll see Gordon on the right at times, and hopefully in games that we're cruising Gordon can come off early for a rest. His injury last season was just bad luck.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 12:08 pmI think we have seen enough of Barnes on the pitch already to know he's going to be a game changer if fit and has a prolonged run In the first team. Maxys treble backward somersault goal celebration makes barnes' bow and arrow routine look a bit...what's the word....camp?Colback's Orange Tufts wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 8:04 amYeah in theory Barnes should be an upgrade because of consistency. But as exciting as a player he was, aswell as being funny when he said "i couldn't give a f**k!" live on radio newcastle, Barnes is more of a team player and offers goals and assists as opposed to trying to be the court jester every time.

Always found Maxi very genuine with how he was in fan engagement, he was funny, but also knew how to be humble, grateful and serious.FOGGONTHETYNE wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 2:13 pmMaxys treble backward somersault goal celebration makes barnes' bow and arrow routine look a bit...what's the word....camp?Colback's Orange Tufts wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 8:04 am

On the pitch he could have been world class but he just didn't have that consistency in the final 3rd.
Barnes much more of a threat, just doesn't have all the jazz to go with it, and for the record I think his archer celebration is class.

Re: Pre-season 2024-25
its probably different at the match with the noise but i find it quite cringey on tv, but i can live with it if he scores goals like that, least he's not booting the corner flag like someone else we knowDon Sholeone wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 3:59 pmAlways found Maxi very genuine with how he was in fan engagement, he was funny, but also knew how to be humble, grateful and serious.FOGGONTHETYNE wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 2:13 pm
