In the 6 minutes it took VAR to confirm it was a goal for Forest I managed to fry off two eggs and 3 rashers of bacon, toast some bread, make a dijonaisse and eat half my bloody sandwich.

Ridiculous - just bring in a time limit for VaR decisions (not for you to make a fry up).
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?
Re: Weekend football - 16/20 May 2025
So Forest back in mix - 2-0 at present - puts them on 65 points.
They might be motivated to take something off Chelsea now.
And still a couple of banana skins for City to overcome
And ManU playing for positions/ respect Vs Villa
All to play for . If we get a point today it's a giant step.
If not , we get another chance Vs Everton wherexwe need to get after then from 1st whistle

Some could take great offence to that though, he truly believes that his belief in God is the reason for his success, which to me was good to hear from a high profile footballer in terms of the effect it might have on others who are struggling ok to find faith in anything, if his faith and trust in God helps more people to find peace of mind in the same way, then I don't see that as being bollox really, it's probably helping people.Colback's Orange Tufts wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 7:35 amTo clarify. it's clearly not bollox to him he believes it hence all the praying hands and pointing to the sky, its good that he has the faith and that god is the secret to his success, to me he has a god given talent and hopefully he will be wearing a black and white shirt.
Palace winning the cup is just what this competition needed whiich was dying on its feet with the same usual suspects winning it every season, any neutral has to be impressed with how they stood up to citeh, truly deserved to win the cup and today the fa cup finally rediscovered some of the emotion, passion, romance and excitement that made it so great in the 70s.
And godless heathens win as well.
It's great for him his faith helps him.

He can take offence. One can't go through life expecting no one to challenge you.FOGGONTHETYNE wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 11:06 pmSome could take great offence to that though, he truly believes that his belief in God is the reason for his success, which to me was good to hear from a high profile footballer in terms of the effect it might have on others who are struggling ok to find faith in anything, if his faith and trust in God helps more people to find peace of mind in the same way, then I don't see that as being bollox really, it's probably helping people.Colback's Orange Tufts wrote: ↑Sun May 18, 2025 7:35 am

Any one faith is pretty clear that all other faiths are heretical and untrue. Not all, but a significant % of religious people are pretty keen to be offensive and say people like me are evil sinners, who will burn in hell.
I don't see why their opinions on religion are more precious than mine.

But seriously I do hope there was more people inspired by Ezes words to find God and put their faith in God than there was dismissing it as total bollox.

You should watch some American sport. You get this sort of nonsense trotted out regularly by the winning team and players. It would be good if a few came along to extol Islam or scientology or something, but oddly that doesn't appear to be broadcasted.

Spurs I guess. Doubt they'll really compete with us next season. Man U have an talent that's underutilized, i want them out the CL to suffer more

Re: Weekend football - 16/20 May 2025
I'm booing ManU more than I am Spurs.
Re: Weekend football - 16/20 May 2025
I sort of want Man Utd just because them winning another trophy is a bit of a nothing, while Spurs drought amuses me. Plus Ange's "I always win a trophy in my second season mate" is really f***ing irritating.
FYI I've just discovered this is free to air, I'm watching on Virgin Media 527, but also free on the Discovery+ app apparently. s*** football and Ally McCoist.

Hoping they both lose...
Gun to my head though I'm choosing Spurs.
It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

Re: Weekend football - 16/20 May 2025
In the short term I want Spurs to win. But in the long term, I think Manure getting into the Champions League next season might actually break them.
No time for a reset. They'll have to throw money at the team and then when (jesus christ I hope!) They get f***ed up the ass in the Champions League they will fully capitulate in the league, not get European football the next year and maybe even get relegated.
That's my hope anyway.

I love Ally McCoist. I could watch him commentate paint drying. Which I'd probably prefer to this game.originallad wrote: ↑Wed May 21, 2025 7:22 pmYou don't like Ally McCoist?Colly wrote: ↑Wed May 21, 2025 7:11 pmI sort of want Man Utd just because them winning another trophy is a bit of a nothing, while Spurs drought amuses me. Hot take (hardly) but it’s hard to not envisage English clubs dominating the Europa League over the coming years when you look at the teams Spurs and Man Utd beat to get to this final.
