Transfer Rumours Thread
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
Best scenario - Get Vertonghen as competition for CB, Debuchy for RB, with Clyne coming in as back up and Simmo gone. Amalfitano, Butterfield, Mulumbu and Boudebouz come in to sure up the midfield, with Guthrie leaving. Get De Jong for up front. That would be a perfect summer.

I don't think Pards et al will be very happy if we actually are in for him and he's spreading it all over twitter.

Is Mulumbu good? Ain't seen much of him. Better than Jonas in his 4-3-3 position?

Mulumbu Would love him here!
If we get, Mulumbu, Anita, De Jong, Amalfitano and Clyne in then i'd be happy.
Anita - LB/CDM
Mulumbu - CM (can be attacking as well)
De Jong - ST
Amalfitano - CM/RW/LW
Clyne - RB

He always looked good for West Brom when I saw them. Similar to Tiote.Chappaz wrote:Is Mulumbu good? Ain't seen much of him. Better than Jonas in his 4-3-3 position?
Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
He's got a decent tackle success rate and did pretty well in a more attacking role last season. Could definitely be a decent box to box midfielder for us i'd say.Chappaz wrote:Is Mulumbu good? Ain't seen much of him. Better than Jonas in his 4-3-3 position?

No, no, no, no. I do not want him at LB unless in an absolute emergency. He needs to be played LW, it is clearly his best position.Beatski wrote:Fergie.

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
but our new formation doesnt incorporate wingers. would be best as an attacking LB; providing width on the overlap (with santon doing the same on the other side, and Tiote + Mulumbu providing defensive solidarity, allowing them to get forward)Voluptuous Vuckic wrote:No, no, no, no. L'Equipe says OL would still like to sell Aly Cissokho and want 8 mill euros but would probably accept 6 mill.

L'Equipe adds there's not a "plethora" of clubs keen but #nufc keeping informed. OL may even let him go on 1-yr loan with option to buy

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
Pieters can play CB as well can't he, so maybe he could fill in there if Saylors injured and that would cut out the need to get both a CB and LB

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread
I'd definitely take Cissokho on a year loan with an option to buy.

If he does well - great, although we might face a fight to keep him.
If he doesn't do well - let him go back at the end of his loan.
