Not being funny, but Shola did the Shearer 'ball in the corner' thing superbly on Sunday until the lineo flagged for a non existant foul. He's perfect for a late sub, and did a decent job against Spurs already this season.

A bit defensive but numbers in midfield and it would mean that Simmo and Santon could man mark Bale and Lennon (or whoever plays there for spurs) as there is 2 CB's and Perch covering Modric or VDV in that AM role that spurs use. We could then spring counter attacks and hopefully nick a goal.

I actually like this alot, theres alot less experimentation with formations and tactics these days, theres probably a system nobody has developed yet which would render all others obsolete.

The most tactical league in the world is Seria A by a long way, they're obsessed with formations and tactics. The latest big breakthrough is playing 3 in defence, 12 out of 20 teams played it one weekend and it's improved a lot of them.
