The Match Tickets Thread
Re: The Match Tickets Thread
P6 was members who'd been to a cup game, P7 "supporters with a purchase history", and instead of unbought tickets trickling down they've balloted 4-7 together. Absolute piss take.

Oh right, didn't clock there was a P6 onwards! I'm just relying on one of the competitions I've entered coming good
Any news if they'll be putting big screens or anything at SJP?

On a slightly different tack does anybody local to Newcastle know of any decent fanzones for the final or a good place to watch the game as I'm planning to come across for the atmosphere. Found one but last entry is 1pm and I'm likely to have passed out by kick-off at that rate!

I'm annoyed I can't meet up with our supporters club here for the final, but it's the morning after my first night ever away from our kid with my wife, and blowing off my parents who will have stayed over at ours is probably a bad look.

They’ve had a lifetime of being disappointed by you, so I’d just go for itRemember Colo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 6:35 pmI'm annoyed I can't meet up with our supporters club here for the final, but it's the morning after my first night ever away from our kid with my wife, and blowing off my parents who will have stayed over at ours is probably a bad look.

Ha! You're right, I care less about what they'll think, and more about the look my wife gave me when I told her when the final was. I think she can't comprehend that I won't be anxious to get home to our daughter - who I'm sure will be fine, and secondly will care way less that she's been apart from me (compared to her mommy).Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 6:44 pmThey’ve had a lifetime of being disappointed by you, so I’d just go for itRemember Colo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 6:35 pmI'm annoyed I can't meet up with our supporters club here for the final, but it's the morning after my first night ever away from our kid with my wife, and blowing off my parents who will have stayed over at ours is probably a bad look.

Rather than hit the pub and find myself once again the only Newcastle fan there; whereupon the likelihood of being bought my 3rd consolation pint by opposition fans after losing is still quite high.
I've opted to host a little afternoon soiree with drinks and nibbles and have invited my Scouse in-laws around. Mrs and mini OT will be forced to wear my spare shirts and cheer us on or I'll purposely f*** up the snacks.

No point dreaming any more about getting a Wilson Pickett. No point in travelling to Newcastle to get locked out from sold out pub spaces.
Resigned myself to home, man cave mayhem.
Great view guaranteed.
Sound bar cranked up to live sport mode, scarf twirls , drinks fridge and blade locked and loaded. Pies and fries to the fore.
Make it a memorable day for celebration, win or lose.

I'm working the day if until half an hour from kickoff. So will have nip a pub in town to watch it. Which are all almost exclusively man u pubs so I share your pain of being the only Newcastle fan haha. I'd rather that than an afternoon with the inlaws mindoverseasTOON wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 10:21 amRather than hit the pub and find myself once again the only Newcastle fan there; whereupon the likelihood of being bought my 3rd consolation pint by opposition fans after losing is still quite high.

Re: The Match Tickets Thread
I enjoyed a half hour of empty field shots last week during the delay before Clermont vs. Marseille. I get these are the feeds that come with international distribution and having access to every match, but in moments like that it all feels a bit barebones.Blue & Maroon wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 7:56 pmWas in Dubai for the Bournemouth game, I'd forgotten how grim BeIN is...Colback's Orange Tufts wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 3:55 pmI'm in Dubai so gonna have to get a BeIN sports sub
