Today's Matches - 09/08 - Championship & Other Football.
Guess what's back. Back again.
Too f***ing right. Football's back.
Blackburn went straight to the top of the Championship last night after drawing with Cardiff, albeit only because they're ahead of Cardiff alphabetically rather than actual footballing ability, and there's a full fixture list today as well.
The most notable match to keep an eye on here is probably Forest v Blackpool, where new Toon signing Karl Darlow starts in goal for Forest, but the injured Jamaal Lascelles won't be playing. It could also be a proud moment for the Trialist family, as a large number of their extended family could be making starts for Blackpool - a team that had just eight players to their name only two weeks ago.
Fans attending Millwall v Leeds will also be itching to get back into action after almost a whole summer without fighting or punching opposition 'keepers. Watch out for the 17th minute too, which could see new maverick Leeds owner Massimo Cellino trembling in fear throughout.
Championship fixtures:
Brentford v Charlton
Brighton v Sheff Wed
Derby v Rotherham
Huddersfield v Bournemouth
Middlesbrough v Birmingham
Millwall v Leeds
Nottm Forest v Blackpool
Watford v Bolton
Wigan v Reading
Ipswich v Fulham
Over on BT Sport Bristol Rovers have just drawn at home to Grimsby in a match that reminded you why these players are playing 4 leagues below the Premiership.
There's some European football on the go too.
Football.

Hoping that Charlton finally come up this year but it's probably about as likely as us getting into the CL

Don't worry it can still get much worse yet

To be fair B4E, Watford away is one of the hardest fixtures you could have gotten. We all share your pain in that regard

This is the first choice image that the BBC are running. Wat.

We've been great against Watford in recent years, that's ending now it seems. Both their goals have come from putting it over our defence and I thought our defence was ok so all optimism has been crushed. Club decline

Days like today remind me why I'm on a Newcastle forum with people who moan about Newcastle being s***. Our fans are so shockingly pessimistic and angry all the time, I can't cope with it haha

Exeter City's manager Paul Tisdale named himself as a sub because of an injury crisis. He's 41
