To be fair though they have lost against the two teams traditionally better than them (Liverpool and Spuds) and have only really hammered utter dross (us and Sunderland). Saying that they've managed to get some decent wins against solid sides, but it'll be interesting to see what happens when they come up against Chelsea, Arsenal, and the Manchester teams.

To be honest, there's not a lot wrong with that statement. Everybody expected Southampton to absolutely nosedive this season but they've proved a lot of people wrong. There's plenty of time yet though.
