Fortunately we can look back at it and laugh, but this absolutely killed me seeing it live.

Re: That Anita Moment
You could tell straight away if he tried to square it, the keeper was going to get it.
Cisse was practically waiting next to the keeper for it. Pull back man and make a bit of space.
Saying that Anita should of still finished it.

I was sitting three rows from the front behind the goal and I could see what Vurn was going to do when he came over the halfway line. It was an absolute howler but luckily it didn't mar his best performance in a Toon shirt to date. If he had opted to go around the keeper he could have because Adiran was already fully committed to preventing the square ball we all knew was coming.
Re: That Anita Moment
If he'd tried to take it round Adrian and f***ed it up everyone would have been crucifying him for not pulling it back.
Basically he had to just not f*** up, is what I'm being ridiculously obvious about

Wish he'd scored, he deserved it. Fortunately it set it up perfectly for Jonas.

Best game he's played for us by a country mile. The main difference was the amount of effort he put in, he was literally everywhere. Why can't he do that every game though? He was f***ing s**** all season.
I dunno

Cisse and Sissoko both got too excited and didn't give him space to pass into... actually don't blame him toooo much for that! If one of them had held their run just by 3 or 4 feet then there would have been enough space.
Agree with everyone that says he had a fantastic game, though. He was still harrying and sprinting after the ball well into injury time!

Re: That Anita Moment
I've never seen Anita play like that before, he probably put in more tackles in that ninety minutes than he has all season. Was like watching Tiote at his best.
Re: That Anita Moment
It was probably harder not to score. Really he should have took it on himself but if he was going to square it then he should have done it a bit earlier. The poorly timed runs from Cisse and Sissoko didn't help mind.
I wasn't at the time but with hindsight I'm glad he f***ed it up otherwise we wouldn't have got that Jonas moment. Also Anita still had a fantastic game for us even with that incredible f*** up. He was absolutely immense.

Re: That Anita Moment
Don't blame him for trying to pass it. Cisse and Sissoko were in bad positions though.
Was going mental when it happened but glad it turned out not to be pivotal.

Re: That Anita Moment
It was his master plan to allow Jonas his moment.
Hope we keep Anita and hope we get a decent manager that can get Anita to play like he did against West Ham more often.

I'd have dinked it over the keeper

Re: That Anita Moment
Shoulda squared it earlier, he left it too late.

Re: That Anita Moment
Cissé would have just skied it over the bar anyway.

He took a touch too many, that is why Cisse and Sissoko were so close to te keeper, Anita waited too long.

Easiest option might have been to shoot himself.
