He's even found a way to hold the shirt to make it look like it has a stripey back.

Pessimistic about the result, and optimistic for the desire of the players and the tactic. Even so HOWAY THE LADS!

I'm concerned my excitement for tonight is just building me up for a massive fall when we lose

Looking forward to seeing his first line-up
Joe Kinnear: "I think they've got some magnificent midfield players; Tiote, Ben Afri, Yohan Kebab, Sissoko are very solid."

Off to watch this at the pub with my endlessly smug Leicester supporting friend. Really hope we can pull something off.

I reckon there's gonna be at least one player in there who's managed to con Rafa into thinking he's a good player in training, like Obertan or Gouff.Southern fairy wrote:Looking forward to seeing his first line-up

... Your friend wasn't so smug facing relegation last season! Relax and enjoy the game. We can't rely on other teams here on in. Up to us now.LiDL wrote:Off to watch this at the pub with my endlessly smug Leicester supporting friend. Really hope we can pull something off.
Ashley tells you it's raining. Do you look out the window?

Losing is what everyone expects us to do. What is important is we are well organised play as a team and give 100%. If they do i will sleep well.

Was pretty f***ing smug when I had to stand in the away end next to him and watch them destroy us at home thoughHolystone... wrote:... Your friend wasn't so smug facing relegation last season! First time in a while in which I've felt genuinely pumped about the game. Would be absolutely buzzing with anything more than defeat.

I just want a performance that says we're going to get ourselves out of mire. Even if we lose, i want us to go down fighting (not literally ).

Ditto the comments about just wanting to see some fighting spirit. If we draw or win it's a gigantic bonus.

I'm more interested about Rafa's team selection than any other team selection I can ever remember.
Mind you, given the lack of time he's had, it may just be the same XI as usual.

This pretty much. Think it will be 3-1 but we will actually show a bit of fight.snoopy wrote:Losing is what everyone expects us to do. What is important is we are well organised play as a team and give 100%. If they do i will sleep well.

Given his history of using an outrageous amount of video footage and analytics, I have to expect he's watched a lot of tape the past week or more. And who knows, maybe he's been studying us for longer than that anticipating he might become manager.Goat wrote:I'm more interested about Rafa's team selection than any other team selection I can ever remember.

I really don't know what people expect from our line ups, it's like some people are expecting to see Messi Ronaldo Neymar and Bale
