I reckon that's probably the closest I'll ever get to a Paul Dummett shirt.

I do occasionally still get player names on though, I don't wear footie shirts unless I'm either at the match or playing and it does add a little bit of something when you've had them a few years. I've got that Northern Rock maroon and blue with Solano on the back, the dark blue third kit with Emre, plus I bought all 3 amigos in the last season after promotion. Think my last one is that black and white with jagged bits from a few years back, 23 Ameobi. Love it.
Wanna commute to Northern Ireland on the weekends and play for my club?

I'm going 9 because that's been my number for every club I've played for and Shearer, obviously. I think the last name I got on a Newcastle shirt was Shearer's on his testimonial jersey. I got Ameobi 23 on the Nigeria shirt for the 2010 world cup. <awe>

I think a lot of us on here did <laugh> <awe> even though he didn't actually wear 23 for Nigeria I think?

Or was it the 2014 World Cup?

2014 and he was 23, I bought a knock off.

MJ, I'm 34, past it, and wasn't any good when I wasn't...

Ah I got all my facts wrong. Yeah it was 2014. Think I found the link on here actually.

I see you can buy an 'authentic' version for merely double the price of the replica kit. I was in Nike store in London last year and they had the authentic version of England euro 2016 shirt and the difference in quality to the replica was massive.

Ignore the badge, but the Juventus kits are naughty like! Like a modern version of our home kit under Keegan back when we were the Entertainers <awe>

Comments from Sunderland fans via the Mackem Ready To Go message board:

‘As it will look pink from a distance, it will blend in with the empty seats next season…’

‘The football strip equivalent of calling an early election…’

‘Well that’s hideous. Looks like a barbershop choir. They’ll have straw hats next.’

‘Worst strip in living memory.’

‘Cant beat a bit of Bully.’

‘We have no players, no manager, no money and no hope and the club is using a sunday league team to model a kit with a dramatic slogan about our future.

Why are they using a sunday league side in a marketing campaign with a heavy focus on the clubs future? They couldn’t even get a player who will be part of our future at the club to wear it?’

‘It sums up the current climate at the club, amateur incompetent idiots.’ <laugh> <laugh> <laugh>

I actually thought it was a nice change. With so many red and white striped clubs in the top two tiers, the thinner stripes sets it apart a bit.

I quite like it, though I've seen photos where it seems to have a plain red back which ruins it a bit. Striped back in black and white and I'd have that.

If that awful Dafabet logo didn't have yellow in it then it wouldn't look all that bad
