How about O Shea? <laugh> <laugh> I think things are going to get much worse for them before it gets better, I imagine the amount that was going to be available to spend this summer wasnt even high enough for Moyes to consider it

So apparently Big Sam is quitting Palace and RTG is full of 'bring him home' comments. Home? He spent half a season there. <laugh>

Please <laugh> Hes already s*** on them twice, England and went to Palace last season and would have kept them up at Sunderlands expense (had they been closer to 17th) yet they still want him back. It wont happen anyway, his ego is way to big to take a lower league job

Exactly. As if he'd leave Palace in the PL to deal with their mess in the Championship. He owes them nothing.

But there comes a time when you have to take stock of what direction you want your life to take – and that’s been the simple part for me.

I want to be able to savour life while I’m still relatively young and when I’m still relatively healthy enough to do all the things I want to do, like travel, spend more time with my family and grandchildren without the huge pressure that comes with being a football manager.

This is the right time for me. I have no ambitions to take another job, I simply want to be able to enjoy all the things you cannot really enjoy with the 24/7 demands of managing any football club, let alone one in the Premier League.
So another Sunday paper exclusive on dodgy dealings and backhanders on it's way then <whistle>

The blokes had one role in 11 years lasting 10 months at a UAE club ffs. Bit like asking Ron Atkinson if he'd like a job.

Can't even laugh at it. Look how many of our fans are saying 'Come home' to Townsend on twitter.

"Come home" is one of the worst expressions in football. Unless it's applied to actual local players - which it rarely is. I take that back, it's stupid under all circumstances.
