The Florian Lejeune Thread

Post by Ramone » Mon Jun 19, 2017 8:22 am

Lee Ryder and Mark Douglas are reporting that we are close to the signing of Florian Lejeune who was on the books of Manchester City during the 15-16 season, despite playing the entire season on loan to Girona.

The Chronicle have wrote a brief overview of his career so far: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/wh ... k-13144187

So who's leaving? Hanley or Mbemba? Can't see Clark or Lascelles going and we can't keep 5 CBs happy.
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?

Hanley being linked with Derby this morning again so I'd imagine he'd be the one to make way
I'll Hazard a guess

Has anybody seen his Wikipedia page?

On 29 June 2016, Lejeune signed a four-year deal with SD Eibar.[23] Newly relegated Sunderland were also chasing his signature, however the fact that he would cost over one pound stopped this.

It'll be Hanley I'd guess. He's not cut out for the PL. The big job will be convincing Mbemba to remain as cover, though I'd assume he'll see more game time this year than he did last.

Why this transfer takes so long? Sure, it's been two weeks since the window is opened. But Rafa said that he want the majority of the transfers to be done until the start of the pre-season. There's just 10 days until then. And if Charnley needs two weeks for that one...

I read his release clause isn't 'active' until he's been at the club for 1 year. That'd make it the 29th June.
