He's a left back, no?

Remember reading about his controversy in China - but I remember a lot of Brazilians on social media saying it got blown out of proportion. Can't say I know a lot about him, he was rated on FM - that's the extent of my knowledge <laugh>

He was at Watford on loan. Had potential - not quite a first 11 player but was competing with Ake at time.

I would say a good signing and worth punt and an addition to squad

I am reminded - he was also competing with Holebas at Watford, who kept Ashley Cole out of the Roma team for 2 years so no major surprise he did not get much game time.

Still a good signing though I think

Id love for us to one day announce a signing out the blue before any media outlets know about it, just to piss off the journos, if this Kenedy deal is legit then it once again proves the vast majority don't know what they are talking about with regard to our dealings.

He's a winger that can play as a left back. Originally a 'forward' when Chelsea signed him then he played out wide, wing back and left back but he's definitely a winger.

Basically a Lazaar upgrade.

Seems like a good addition to the squad. Can play various positions (LB/LW/ST) and if I remember when Chelsea bought him he was highly rated from Brazil. Should add a different element to the left-back spot with his pace and technical ability, hopefully he makes that his own as I'm not too keen on Dummet just think he should be CB/LB cover, he seems to be a weak link, seems awkward when the ball comes at him, lack of pace will be a problem against skillful and speedy wingers so I can understand Rafa wanting some fresh competition for him. I'm guessing both Lazaar and Haidara will be sold/loaned out come the end of Aug, we have more than enough cover now in the full-back positions. A striker, maybe another creative midfielder and sort out the goalie situation and we'll be good to go. <ok>

Can someone upload YouTube of this lad? I've just watched one and he's very quick footed, takes players on , great distribution and attacks . He may play LB but he's all over . He's not an upgrade on Dummett . He's on a different planet .

Dummett is a better defender. Helpful when playing in defence.

I remember Gus Poyet defending Suarez because casual racism is fine in Uruguay, doesn't make it true.

...
Watch anyone of the videos before making such a glib comment . Dummett limits his contribution to the team to essentially getting rid of balls like a hot potato when any one comes near him . He has next to no distribution skill, has no skill at all in taking on a player , certainly can be found out of position considering this might be the easiest thing to get right even for a plodder like him . Sorry but he's a squad CB and shouldn't really be pulling on a LB shirt in the Premiership.

if its a choice between Kenedy - an unwanted, racist previously failed Watford loanee who managed to upset a whole country with his comments or Dummet, a local lad who hasn't got the ability but has the right attitude, has never complained, does what is asked of him and gets on with the job in hand - taking into consideration Dummets abilities then for me personally - welcome aboard Kenedy.

Thing is Chronicle are still saying its just a bid, they don't mention anything about it being a done deal.

Funny comparison of attributes( or otherwise ) then plumping against Dummett .
