Mackems on the Market
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football ... e-12053053
According to this newspaper report,
Sunderland can readily be bought,
For potential buyers to entice,
At first glance, a fire-sale price,
But not quite a total giveaway,
Fifty million, the initial outlay,
You'll get change from what City paid for Laporte,
And of course, that raucous Mackem support,
But will the current manager stay?
You'll definitely know come May,
The cohort of fans he may inspire,
But the team's performances are still dire,
And to offset any liquid assets,
Are the club's significant debts,
So anyone thinking about this deal,
Should realise it's not a steal.

I hope the bastards slide into the abyss.
My problem is reconciling my gross behaviour with my net income.
Re: Mackems on the Market
I think it'd be a shame to see them tank tbh. I hope they make a comeback.

Police investigating whether a coin thrown on the pitch at the Stadium of Light last week was criminal act or a takeover bid.
And in conclusion, how far had you got through reading this before you realised it was my signature?

Watch the cunts get bought out by oil-rich Saudis and become the next City...
It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

In before someone points out "that's offering way too much money for Sunderland"

Re: Mackems on the Market
IF they stayed up (unlikely) then that's not a bad price if they got an owner who could/would pump another £50-60m into the playing squad.

Short is prepared to give it away for free to anyone who can cope with the debt.

Yep! hold that front page,
In an attempt to disengage,
And quickly bale,
It's a giveaway sale,
So says Ellis Short,
He's happy to report,
You can have it for free,
As long as you agree,
To take on that which is owed,
A multi-million pound payload,
And the man based in Dallas,
Will pass you the poisoned chalice.
