Apparently Yannick Toure is with the U-23 squad in Scotland, so has signed by no official announcement by the club, also I don't know how information is put on there but he's also listed as our player on Transfermarkt, it is usually pretty reliable and up to date.
Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2018)
£100m isn't even a war chest. If that includes wages aswell then it would probably get us about 3 players. No wonder he hasn't signed it.

On loan, despite being avaliable for transfer. I'm more of the patient kind with this window, but we certainly shouldn't be loaning a fourth choice cb.

Fabian Schaar for 3m the latest, rated him very highly when he was at Basel, would be better signing then Fernandez I feel

Who knows could work, I'm not against the Fernandez deal if on loan but a 6m deal for me wouldn't be great 3m for Fabian Schaar who is 26 is a decent price, if we were to bring in both I'd be happy.Ol' Dirty Bas Dost wrote: ↑Mon Jul 23, 2018 9:12 am3 at the back?lassassinblanc wrote: ↑Mon Jul 23, 2018 8:57 amFabian Schaar for 3m the latest, rated him very highly when he was at Basel, would be better signing then Fernandez I feel
A potential starting XI of
---------------Dubravka-------------
--------Schar-Lascelles-Lejuene---
Yedlin--------------------------------Dummet-
-------------Shevley--Diame------------
-----------------Kennedy/Perez-----------
------------Rondon-------Gayle------
Wouldn't be the worst

Still weak on the striker front. We can't seriously be thinking of going into the next season with Gayle and Rondon as our primary strikers, it's been an issue for a couple of years now and still not sorted out.
I'd see Kenedy as our LWB in that formation as well btw.

It’s currently Gayle and Jos. We won’t sign RondonOl' Dirty Bas Dost wrote: ↑Mon Jul 23, 2018 9:42 amStill weak on the striker front. Kennedy played very well in the roaming central role against Pats (I know) but I think it may be where Rafa will look to play him.Ol' Dirty Bas Dost wrote: ↑Mon Jul 23, 2018 9:42 amStill weak on the striker front. I agree the striker options are very worrying

I've been touting Welbeck for months. Get it done

It wasn't meant as a cheap shot so apologies if you thought it was. Just think the attitude to sports and culture in general is different over there. That's not to dismiss the intense sporting rivalries/history over there, as a big fan of the NFL i'd be a hypocrite to do so.Eu estou Colo wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 2:42 pmThanks for the cheap shot about the "across the pond" part, but I'm not even suggesting people should stop supporting Newcastle, only that it seemed to me that has to be the ultimatum. It's "If Rafa goes, we go". Well, go where? People have stopped buying from Sports Direct, they've been threatening or have stopped buying season tickets, stopped buying kits. It's a catchy slogan, sure, but what makes it any different from all of the protests before it besides being predicated on Rafa leaving?TBC wrote: ↑Fri Jul 20, 2018 9:46 pm
I’m sorry but you’re so far off what this all means. It doesn’t mean not watching football anymore or even still considering yourself a Newcastle fan. I know franchised sport over the pond is slightly different and yes we get plastic fans over here too but I was born a Newcastle fan, i’m not going to stop because of Ashley. I might stay away from SJP for a few years but I’m not getting a City tattoo on my chest anytime soon.
Basically I applaud anyone trying to make a difference with the Ashley protests, even if their efforts fail.

I'm holding onto the slither of hope that when we ship out Mitrovic and Mbemba for £25m or so that it'll set the wheels in motion for a couple of quality signings. I think Rafa is getting cheap / loan players because he's got one or two big targets that will consume his transfer kitty. That's what I'm telling myself anyway.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2018)
Why is Welbeck seen as an upgrade when Rondon/Origi isn't?
Welbeck's highest goalscoring total in a season is 9, he's never managed double figures and has an awful injury record.

I'd actually prefer Origi myself is young and could be improved.
Welbeck would be Home Grown so would be useful in that sense

Well it won't be Bas Dost (was never going to be):
From Sky Sports "Bas Dost has performed a U-turn and signed a new deal with Sporting Lisbon, just over a month after telling the club he was terminating his contract."
