Because it means Haris Seferovic who has a supposed 16m buyout clause in his contract should a premier league team express interest may now be available

Lascelles again being linked to Chelsea and Spurs for 45m. They can f*** off. Although in reality I can see him doing really well at Spurs. They look certain to sell Alderweireld, and Poch does have a good record with developing young (english) players. I'd be very surprised if we sold him for 45m tho, in this market it's barely anything. He's the youngest captain in the prem and the absoloute lynchpin to our team. Second most important figure at the club after Rafa.

He'll definitely go for 45m I feel. Ashley will get greedy and off he goes.

What's the point in selling to buy if you're giving up one of the few sure things we have in the team and are trusting the roll of the dice and new players to replace him and improve the team. In today's sellers market, why put yourself in that position? Us staying up is worth more than any 1 player will ever be worth sold.
