Time for Ian Wright to lobbying about his good friend Alain Pardeux?

Shame for all involved at Arsenal that he didn’t do it sooner but will still go down as one of the greatest managers.

Incredible first decade overall but floundered (relatively) thereafter. Should really have gone a few a few years ago. It'll be interesting to see who they appoint, they'll want a big name but it may depend on CL qualification as to who they get, unless a top manager sees it as a project.
Obviously he's had a lot of stick in the last few years, but his appointment and approach was a real game changer for English football.

Ancelotti is favourite with bookies.
Outside bet would be Leonardo Jardim at 16/1 supposedly has clause in his contract should a PL club want him he is free to leave, has been quoted as saying he'd love to succeed Wenger

Ancelotti isn't a long-term answer, so depends if they want stability in the short term and then change again in the not too distant future.

Tuchel heavily linked as well, but apparently he has been interviewed for the PSG job.

I think it could be very interesting, while they have "struggled" by their standards they've still been well up there throughout his tenure. There's no guarantee a change would be for the better.

It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

I think he’ll be a big miss to Arsenal. I think Arsenal fans need to remember what he’s done for them and I think the criticism is harsh as the board don’t like spending money.

Re: Wenger to quit at the end of the season.
To be fair I'd say this season they are justified in their criticism of him. A club like Arsenal shouldn't be satisfied at finishing 6th and possibly 7th, 33 points off the top of the division. He has stayed on about 2 seasons too long in my honest opinion and it is clear the likes of Klopp, Pochettino and Guardiola are now far too dynamic and tactically superior for him to compete with.
Some of the criticism has been OTT but I can see their frustrations when their club is going backwards under his management with every passing season. Having said that I don't think him going will suddenly see Arsenal shoot back up the table unless the board are willing to spend.

And they've spent a load of money, including busting their wage cap several times. Though it's never been clear to me who is responsible for their player acquisition and attainment. The number of players they've let walk without any sort of plan has been baffling over the years, but I'm not sure if he's to blame as much as he has been.Heisen wrote:To be fair I'd say this season they are justified in their criticism of him. He was a breath of fresh air to English football, put out some quality teams who played lovely football! Wish we’d had somebody like him for 20 years ! Arsenal fans will only really appreciate what he done for the club once he’s gone !
