FWIW, I found it refreshing how the ref didn't stop the game for Pepe going down clutching his face before Costa's goal. I wish more refs would allow that aggressive physicality and let matches flow better.

Doubly refreshing that the VAR agreed. It was a borderline foul, but not clear enough to overturn, and he went nowhere near his face.

I'm sat in my kitchen by myself and I actually said "For f***'s sake..." out loud when I realised he was commentating. He's absolutely dreadful. His job is to offer insight into the match from a professional point of view, not just cracking s*** jokes. When he does rarely make a comment on the match, it's always something totally obvious.

Yes he caught him in phase 2 or whatever, but in order to make the successful first tackle which was entirely legal he had to fully committ. Shouldn't have been a pen.
