St. Patrick's v Newcastle
Just watched the first half of the match. Pretty dire. If you can be arsed, there's a stream at hesgoal.com
Mind you, the camera is that far away, I haven't recognised one player. Longstaffe scored and I didn't even realise till they congratulated him. 1-0 Newcastle.

First couple of friendlies are more about fitness than anything. Wins are nice but it doesn't really matter. They may be s*** but they're half way through their season so match sharp too.

Been following it on Chronical Live. They appear to be impressed with Longstaff's performance first half.

Most annoying thing about this friendly is fans kicking off on Twitter about having to pay a fiver for the four friendlies when you can stream it for free. At most the club will probably make about £5k which won't even pay Colbacks wages for a day. By all means share your feelings for something worthwhile but the number of our fans who act like millennials and kick off every time someone at the club breathes is f***ing annoying sometimes.

Bugger. I lost the stream just before the second goal. Who scored?

Went to the game myself. Your typical per season game you'd definitely know what team was mid season and which was only starting back. Longstaff done well as did lejuene.
The rest were steady Yarney has potential but lejuene and Clark (2nd half) definitely helped him.
Two things I took away from tonight
1)We definitely need a striker Joselu is terrible Gayle bar his pace isn't much better.
2) full backs also need upgrade Manquillo is awful he had one or two interceptions but was caught forward too much for me. Yedlin missed an absolute sitter
On a side note Rafa is a gent stopped and took photos with everyone and answered questions

Yep, our striking options and backup full back options are embarrassing.

Ironic how it's the older generations that actually complain more about s***.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Tue Jul 17, 2018 7:49 pmMost annoying thing about this friendly is fans kicking off on Twitter about having to pay a fiver for the four friendlies when you can stream it for free. Though I do completely agree with your point otherwise.
