Re: Squad numbers 2018/19 confirmed
I'm pretty surprised one of Elliot or Darlow hasn't left. I mean, I'm sure we don't want to keep Woodman around as third choice when he could instead be playing every day elsewhere, but I'd have though Karl or Rob would want a chance to play.

Elliot is 32 - would have gladly let him go and I'm sure the club agrees. The thing is, you'd have thought anyone desperate for a backup ala Manchester United right the way down to the Championship clubs should have looked at him. At the second tier he is good enough to be first choice for most of the clubs, and NUFC would've let him go for a pittance.Remember Colo wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 3:04 pmI'm pretty surprised one of Elliot or Darlow hasn't left. I think it's more of a case that he doesn't want to go. He's settled with his lass and young kid, he's got a nice house in collourcoats a few doors down from his lasses mam and he clearly likes living in the area.omegaprimevkm wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 8:19 amElliot is 32 - would have gladly let him go and I'm sure the club agrees. He's decent back up to have around and once his contract runs out I'll imagine he'll just retire (or join a local club) if we don't renew it.
In his circumstances it doesn't make much sense moving at this stage in his career.

Agree with that. He seems a good guy to have around the squad too, you need one or two of those.

And those points all make sense, but it does likely ensure he never gets back into the Irish national team. But I haven't been paying enough attention to them to know if there was any chance of that anyway.

That you desrespectfully call "s*** Seria A team" is named Genoa and Cricket Football Club and has been foundedBodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 6:18 pmHe struggled to get into that s*** Serie A team last season so I'm not holding out much hope.Scalabrine wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 6:16 pmAny chance for Lazaar? Dummett, Manquillo, Sterry... we need fullbacks.
in the 1893 by english people living in Genoa. The first of them was Mr. James Spensley, he whom we consider our
founder...and he was born in Newcastle. Waves from Genoa.

And on top of that, no one was criticizing the club itself, but that they performed like s*** last season when they were in last place.

Except in games where I bet against them. Knobheads.

Well Rafa said he wanted a LB and he got a LB
(that he signed in the first place, so he must have seen something in him).

Dubravka

Defenders:
Clark
Dummett
Fernandez

Sterry
Yedlin
Midfielders:
Atsu
Diame
Hayden
Kenedy
Ki
Murphy

Such a shame that we would spend money as we're only a few decent signings away from having quite a handy team when everyone is available. Oh well.

If only there was some near biblical namesake to pun Lazaar's miraculous reanimation to be named as a squad member

f*** that, could we not resurect Jesus Gamez's contract and bring him back? Looked handy at left back last season despite being our oldest outfield player and never playing other than that one game.overseasTOON wrote: ↑Tue Sep 04, 2018 4:54 pmIf only there was some near biblical namesake to pun Lazaar's miraculous reanimation to be named as a squad member
