Mitro scored again. Good thing we got rid of him though. Would hate to actually win a game for once....
People will point out his penalty more than his goal, or four goals rather.
I'm sure, but that is largely because people are stupid.

I love how people on here love to bring up Mitrovic's goals at Fulham without mentioning/comparing the competition and thinking for one second whether he'd have scored 4 goals for us so far if he had started instead of Joselu/Rondon and our other 10 players had performed the exact same way they have up to now.

But by all means keep up the pointless bitching.

Really liking the look of Wolves this season. They can be a bit suspect defensively, but Neves and Moutinho are decent in midfield and they like to attack. If they stay up (which I've no doubt they will) then they'll continue to invest and be a strong PL side. There have also been rumours of a new stadium, but they're city centre based so if that did happen they'd have to move out of town which would be a shame as there's not much space where they are now.

Old firm Derby on SS1, there's not many people I'd rather punch in the face than Scott Brown.

This Cardiff arsenal match is a cracker. Arsenal can't defend crosses, especially from free kicks.

Ozil, when he was playing right midfield reminded me of Ben Arfa in lack of desire to track back

Hopefully Rondon can unsettle their defence in a couple of weeks.

People like to overcomplicate football, but put someone strong and decent in the air in the box and get crosses into them and you'll do alright as Watford have just demonstrated.

They look bloody useful! What a start - I thought they would struggle but will soon have such a head start they will be safe.

Good solid team

Yeah I had them pegged as relegation candidates but they've come flying out of the traps. Long way to go but they certainly seem like they should be fine and the Deeney / Gray combination is working a treat.

Good to see Watford give it a go. I think we may have given Spurs 80 % possession and sat back all game - def if we had equalised we would have settled for a point.

We need to give it a go against the better teams - we set out too defensively

Gayle would be class for any championship club but definitely not cutout for the PL.

I think he'd do alright in a team that creates chances, a Watford or a Burnley say.

I just think that his finishing is too unreliable for the PL.

You could be right, but we just aren't the team to be able to test that theory. See Mitro already who's bashing away scruffy finishes in positions he wouldn't have even got the ball in for us.

Mitros premiership record is 15 goals out of 47 appearances so far. Championship - even with his poor time with us he has 18 out of 49 and 17 out of 40 for Serbia.

It's about time people at least accept he'll get you around an average of 1 in 3 consistently if used correctly, something we could very much do with.

I had no problems letting Mitro away, because I knew we wouldn't play him or get the best out of him. What I have a problem with is getting a decent price for him and not replacing him with more than Rondon. Rondon is a fine player but we need someone he can play understudy to.

I would say Rondon is a sort of 1 in 3 player if you look at his record in La Liga and Russia. But yeah I agree with your point Rondon isn't the long-term answer and eventually it'll be good to have someone who doesn't cost peanuts or is Rafa's plan B and we actually spend more than 16 million on a top quality striker but with the Fat Man that's unlikely anytime soon. <urgh>

We have a 1 in 2 striker this season:
