It’ll be announced on Feb 1st that a deal couldn’t be concluded and we’ve gone through the Jan transfer window without signing anyone. Repeat in summer.

The wanting to sell it b efore Jan makes me think he really doesn't want to spend anything on transfers <laugh>

There's a video from the interview floating around, but I can't work out how to link it from facebook.

Here you go <ok>

Even Sky Sports aren't making a big deal out of this anymore.

It comes to something when even sky sports news can’t be arsed having their chain yanked again.

Mike has a new calling. He wants to save the high street.

We're dead to him now.

I mean any public comment from the club/Ashley is better than nothing... but, as always, a large pinch of salt taken here.
This. I cannot help but think its just a PR stunt to get us of his back for a while.
I really don't think he cares about fans on his back. He's had them there for years and done nothing meaningful to suggest it bothers him.

Yep. Protest groups claim “they’re getting to him” but they’re clearly not. You can tell by his smugness that he really doesn’t care, he’s a businessman making money so he’s more than happy.

Apparently potential buyer is the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank. He also owns Atlanta United whom Miguel Almiron plays for and we’ve been heavily linked with so I’ve now decided that a takeover is definitely happening this time lads no doubt about it.

I wouldn't believe Ashley if he told me today was Tuesday!

I'd like to believe it's true but as others have said he's just getting his excuses in early for not spending in January!

Just looked him up and came across this gem on wikipedia <laugh>
On 04th December 2018 Blank was linked with a purchase of the biggest and best football (soccer) club in North East England, English Premier League club Newcastle United.

He seems very similar in wealth to Ashley, the big difference is he does seem to be a big sporting person with a focus on fan participation, it doesn't seem like it would be a game changer for us but looks like we would at least be more competitive.

If it is Arthur Blank, i'll never not be able to associate him with Superbowl 51 two years ago. His Atlanta Falcons were 28-3 up in the 3rd quarter so him and his missus went down to the touchline to stand with the players etc. New England then scored 25 unanswered points to send the game into overtime and won <laugh>
