Football/Sporting Podcast Recommendations
I thought there was a thread about this but can't find it / imagined it.
I've just started listening to the new Peter Crouch podcast, it's really decent. Loads of humour and funny stories and he lifts the lid on things that go on behind the scenes at football clubs. Each episode is 40-45 minutes so worth a listen on the commute.
The others that I listen to are 606 (which is turning into TalkSport so I'll probably ditch it soon, although Savage is actually decent on it, as is Kirsty Gallagher, Ian Wright and Kelly Cates). It's badly let down by Jason Mohammed, Lawro and Sutton when they're on it.
Not football, but Flintoff, Savage and the Ping Pong guy is really good too. Goes into sports psychology a lot, the experiences of each of them and they're all very open, honest and go into some pretty full on stories about their experiences. They did a show on Mental Health in Sport and it was brilliant. Loads of really funny stories too e.g. Flintoff taking viagra but it had a delayed reaction and kicked in when he walked out to bat
Anyone else got any recommendations?

The magic sponge with Jimmy Bullard, Ian Smith and Rob Becket.
Hilarious podcast with guests that tell some cracking stories about football in the 90s and 00s.
Would recommend to anyone!

Monday Night Club with Mark Chapman has been decent whenever I've listened to it.

The Football Ramble is quite light hearted and has a few decent episodes. One of the lads on there is a Newcastle fan as well so we get a decent amount of coverage.

Yeah I like the Ramble. Their sister show on the continent is good as well, focuses on European football and has input from serious journalists in James Horncastle and Andy Brassell. The skysports transfer talk podcast is decent as well, but unsurprisingly is only on during the transfer windows.Crouching Shola Hidden Talent wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 6:52 pmThe Football Ramble is quite light hearted and has a few decent episodes. Bob Mortimer's 'Athletico Mince' is only tangentially about football, but if you like his surreal flights of fancy it ca be very very funny.

OTC is really good, especially if you like a slightly more serious and informed podcast.CIH wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 7:46 pmYeah I like the Ramble. Another vote for the Ramble. This Monday's episode was especially hilarious.

Re: Football/Sporting Podcast Recommendations
Would highly recommend the Newcastle Natter. The hosts are hilarious and brilliantly self deprecating about the club.
Always been a fan of the Guardian Football weekly and it doesn’t bother me that Max Rushden is the new host after James Richardson left to do his own pod.
Totally Football show is alright.
Sunday Supplement is a great sleep inducer if you have trouble getting to bed at night.

5 Live Daily had a good interview with Kevin Keegan last night, you can download at https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02nrs ... /downloads. He talks about his path to the top, time at Liverpool and moving to Hamburg, and his time managing us, Fulham and England. Mainly focuses on his first spell as manager here and how much of a mess the club was in. Worth a listen, only 45 mins.

A very important one from Ireland here and second captains show. Former Irish international Brian Lenihan talks openly about his issues with mental health.
