Steve Bruce no longer a villian
Alas and alack,
Steve Bruce got the sack,
From Villa's Vegetable End,
A cabbage did descend,
The Brassica ballistic,
Was indeed mystic,
A sailing sauerkraut,
That signalled his way out.

Wonder if they'll go for the old guard e.g. Allardyce, Pardew or actually try to be a bit more progressive. They'll probably be tempted by Allardyce as he's a good chance of getting them promoted.
Think Jorge Mendes has some sort of input at Villa too so might do a wolves and go for a young foreign manager.

I'd love it if Pardew got the job and took them down!

I'm not sure if Pardew, Allardyce et al would go there at this point. Especially as there will likely be premier league openings in the relatively near future. I think if they had been out of a job a bit longer then maybe, but they will know how tough the championship is and how easy it is to miss out on promotion. Allardyce especially with his west ham side only just about scraping it.
Villa could do worse than looking at Chris Wilder at Sheff United. Had a steady enough career moving up the leagues, did quite a good job at Northampton in particular before taking over at Sheffield. And while I admittedly don't follow him or them that closely, I've heard good things.

Bring on the Rafa rumours....
Re: Steve Bruce no longer a villian
Shame for Bruce. He's one of the few genuinely decent blokes in management. Been a tough year for him personally losing both parents and he was doing a good job at Villa. I doubt his replacement will do better.
Very disrespectful from the cabbage thrower and club in general though I suppose you can't really expect much better considering it is Villa.
Extremely harsh on Bruce. Hopefully he'll find a better more respectful club soon.

Stupid decision to sack a manager who has a track record of promotion they were only 2 points off the playoffs they had only lost twice all season and they were 7 off top spot but typical from Villa sack him and there likely to go for a guy with no management experience great players don't necessarily make great managers some owners are bonkers.
