Mounie no thanks, can’t say I know enough about Pritchard.

Weren't we heavily linked to Pritchard when he signed for Norwich? Think we signed Ritchie instead. Cheaper, but also s better player.

I think it's a little too early to be looking at potential relegation teams for strip-mining 6 more points and then maybe
But just to indulge people the two who are definitely down
Fulham- the only player I'd remotely be interested in would be Andre Schurrle though he is on loan at Fulham for another year, I know he has come out and said he wouldn't be happy play in the championship maybe we could take over the loan for the year.
Huddersfield - The previous mentioned Phillip Billing I'd take as replacement for Hayden, Pritchard too would be a good young player to bring in who'd fit our/Ashley's transfer guidelines (i.e. young with potential sell on value)
Aaron Mooy would be also be a welcome addition if only to partner him with Shelvey and make our midfield Too Sexy

Because the direct step up from being in and out the team at Huddersfield is being a regular for Real or City.Emiliano Sala's Invincible Hair wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 8:52 pmYou'd rather us sign first team players for Real or City? We are at a certain level, and just because they got relegated doesn't mean the individual players are bad. Liverpool signed Wijnaldum, Spurs signed Sissoko. Both appear a fair bit for respective clubs.
We weren't relegated because we were a bad side. We went down 6 games unbeaten. We went down because we were mismanaged. Huddersfield lack quality all over the pitch and that is down to players. Billing might end up a decent replacement for Hayden. But Mounie and Pritchard would be shocking signings.

Pritchard turns 26 in May. He's not a young player any more.lassassinblanc wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 11:57 amI think it's a little too early to be looking at potential relegation teams for strip-mining 6 more points and then maybe

Forgot all about him tbh, I think he'll more be picked up by a Top 6 team (Spurs maybe) but yeah I'd well take him too.overseasTOON wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 12:40 pmNo Ryan Saucisson?lassassinblanc wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 11:57 amI think it's a little too early to be looking at potential relegation teams for strip-mining 6 more points and then maybe

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (January 2019)
Some paper talk of Shelvey to West Ham for £20m. It's a tricky one.
Longstaff has done very well this season but it may be risky to heap too much pressure on him too soon when he's fit again, Ki has done well at times, Hayden wants to leave (but has still been outstanding in the last few months) and Diame is near the end of his contract and not getting any younger, so it would be risky to sell Shelvey (theoretically) without having 2 or 3 decent replacements lined up.

If we can replace Hayden I'd bite their hands off for £20m. Sell up before he's found out, classic West Ham transfer.
This rumours been around for ages though.

We have CM depth for the first time in years and years, so with Diame and Hayden both likely gone, I really don't want to lose Shelvey too.
Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (January 2019)
Not arsed about losing Shelvey, luxury player that forces a certain style that we appear to be moving away from. More gutted that Hayden will probably end up going.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (January 2019)
I think you're overstating how specifically team tactics are to be to accommodate Shelvey, considering Rafa hadn't shown a willingness to play any different way until signing Almiron, so we really haven't seen how else Shelvey can be deployed considering how little he's been available this season.
Now I completely agree that we need a good CDM, especially if losing Hayden, and obviously that Shelvey doesn't fit that role, but I think it would be shortsighted to think he's a luxury with Longstaff, a player with less a season of PL experience being the only CM with a real future currently at the club.
Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (January 2019)
Whenever he plays there is a lot of direct passes and he is regularly picking the ball up between the CB's. He likes time on the ball and has to drop deep to get that.Remember Colo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 7:32 pmI think you're overstating how specifically team tactics are to be to accommodate Shelvey, considering Rafa hadn't shown a willingness to play any different way until signing Almiron, so we really haven't seen how else Shelvey can be deployed considering how little he's been available this season.

The luxury is based on his inability to defend in a CM position.

When has that ever stopped us selling anybody for a good profit?Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 3:11 pmSome paper talk of Shelvey to West Ham for £20m. It's a tricky one.
