I jokingly suggested this morning that my mate should put Perez into his PL draft team as he's a guaranteed 2 points a week. He did. Whoops.
Fucks sake. I'd rather we'd lost...

f***ing get in there. Exactly what we needed.

In some ways better to win gritty like that - as we're going to be in that situation a lot this season. Hopefully we can make it 2 in 2 next week when I'm at SJP...

Feel like Ki changed the game today. Gave us some forward momentum that we were lacking.

Yeah I slightly wonder if our reliance on Shelvey has started to slightly hinder us - Ki gave us a different, less direct option which worked very well.

I've been mulling it over, and I think I agree.

Also can I just place on record how much I enjoyed Schär being an absolute radge packet

Massively. Shelvey's ever increasing habit of dropping deep to play a long ball has really limited him, and worse it leaves us with a massive hole in the middle of the park. Ki actually took up that space and was happy to take the ball, and even better actually carry it forward. Freed up Diame too so he could actually face the play rather than collecting it with his back to goal. The change might be forced anyway depending on how bad Shelvey's injury is, but for me I'd start Diame and Ki next week just for something less predictable.

Some really nice linkups between Ki and Kenedy too.

Tbf he was right, pererya while not 100% intentional did come down with a stamping motion.

Didn't see the game. I heard about the enforced substitutions. I also heard there were a fair few "walking wounded." Is everyone dead or what?
