Match thread.FA cup NUFC v Watford

Post by Toondes » Sat Jan 26, 2019 7:52 am

Watford (h)

Newcastle will attempt to end a sequence of five FA Cup Fourth Round defeats when fellow Premier League side Watford visit SJP on Saturday.

Kick off against the Hornets is at 3pm.

Tickets will be available to buy from the SJP box office until kick-off priced at £20 adults and £10 concessions. Beware of queues.

Watford were entitled to a minimum 6,000 allocation but had flogged just 600 by the time their public sale began last Monday.

The winners of the tie will feature in the draw for the Fifth Round, staged during BBC1's One Show from 7pm on Monday evening.

NUFC: Kenedy and Federico Fernandez return to the squad following illness but it doesn't appear that Karl Darlow, Mo Diame, Paul Dummett or Jonjo Shelvey are under consideration for selection.

Yoshinori Muto remains on international duty, while Ki Sungyeung has returned but is out injured.

Coral matchday betting is online here

Coral's new punter offer is bet £10 receive £30 in free bets. Terms & conditions apply online here

WFC: Sebastian Prodl, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Kiki Femenia are all out injured.

The Hornets reached this stage thanks to a 2-0 Third Round victory at non-league Woking.

The Ware Rooms on Carliol Square will have these offers on Saturday:

Pizza and a pint £7
Two Dine for a Tenner
20% discount for NUFC season ticket holders before and after the Watford FAC game.

Well one of our own players can’t play for us <laugh>

(Not that he was anywhere near the first team).

Suspect Watford will make several changes so if we field a decent side it’s a great opportunity to progress.

Does the club still stream radio on its website? I'm working and the BBC doesn't let you access BBC Newcastle if not local.

Not unhappy with that team, other than Joselu.

The likes of Pereyra, Capoue, Delefraou, Holebas etc not playing (or on bench), great opportunity for us.

Solid team and a decent bench <notbad>

Will be interesting to see if Kenedy takes his chance to earn his spot back or is w*** as he's been all season.

I just hope we don't draw. Got 3/1 on Watford winning. Good odds. Stuck £20 on. Will ease the pain.

I like the looks of that team apart from Joselu. Hopefully the ''real'' Kenedy turns up today when he's on form and motivated he's our best winger / creative outlet.

The struggle to reach the final third of the field with any kind of ball control is real.
