In the wake of Miguel Almiron not signing (I didn't really ever think he would, but confirmation has come out today that the deal is virtually dead), has anyone ever compiled a list of failed signings under Ashley in recent years where players were heavily linked (as opposed to the odd recommendation ala Seamus Coleman)?

I was thinking of the likes of:

Dele Ali
Andre Lacazette
Mohammed Salah
Virgil Van Dijk

etc.

Seems a bit of a stretch to include players like Salah and Van Dijk, when I don't remember particularly strong links to them, especially compared to all of the other stories regarding their potential sales.
