Re: Match thread - Toon vs Citeh
So today, I made two decisions.
1) Skip the game and go out for dinner instead (it was a f***ing write off on paper)
2) Start a thread to discuss all the failed signings we should have had
I'm going to add 3) I'm putting £10 on Mike Ashley living until breakfast on Saturday

We've broken our transfer record, won a penalty, came from behind to win and beaten Manchester City all in one day.
Did God give Sir Bob the reigns for the day or something?

SSN just said that was the first time we've come from 1-0 down at home to win since 2006 (vs Reading).

This is what happens when we just threaten to buy replacements for them. Imagine how easy it would be to win the league if we actually bought players.

I know he gave the ball away a couple of times but again Longstaff didn’t look out of his depth at all against some of the best midfielders in the world. Never scared to get the ball and looking to make space or make a pass.

And it was he that was fouled for the penalty.
Re: Match thread - Toon vs Citeh
His positioning is spot on, the number of little tackles and interceptions in the middle of the park was brilliant, and his heights a big help. Superb to get his body in to win the penalty too.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Tue Jan 29, 2019 10:33 pmI know he gave the ball away a couple of times but again Longstaff didn’t look out of his depth at all against some of the best midfielders in the world.
