Match day thread - Toon vs Everton
Everton (h)
The Magpies are back in Premier League action on Saturday, when Everton provide the opposition at Gallowgate in an old-fashioned 3pm kick-off.
Limited tickets remain on public sale.
Newcastle ended a four match losing run at Goodison Park back in December when drawing 1-1, but they haven't taken maximum points off the Toffees since beating them 3-2 in December 2014.
Following an awful start to the season, United are attempting to win a fifth successive home game in the Premier League for the first time since 2004.
Beginning with victory over Leeds in early January, Bobby Robson's side then triumphed over Fulham, Leicester City, Boro, Charlton and Everton before being held by Arsenal in the April.
Since that run, the black and whites have racked up runs of four successive home wins seven times without managing a fifth - the most recent last season between February and April 2018.
NUFC: Sean Longstaff is out.

EFC: Aside from Leighton Baines, Everton have a full-strength squad. Phil Jagielka has been missing from training but expected to be available.
The Toffees drew 0-0 at home to Liverpool on Sunday, leaving them tenth in the table, six points and four places above Newcastle.
On the road so far this season, Marco Silva's side have won four times (Leicester, Burnley, Chelsea, Cardiff), drawn three (Bournemouth, Wolves, Huddersfield) and lost seven (Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Brighton, Southampton and Watford).

Re: Match day thread - Toon vs Everton
This is tough to predict. On paper they have a better side, but they have been very indifferent. They got a draw with Liverpool last week but never ever looked like scoring, and can't read too much into them beating Cardiff. I'd take a draw.
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?

Tough game, 1-1 draw at best.
Re: Match day thread - Toon vs Everton
I hope my boy Rondon scores since we are undefeated in league play when he does (4-2-0)
Re: Match day thread - Toon vs Everton
Could go either way. I'm going for an optimistic 2-1.
It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

Fancy us to pick up a point. 1-1 with Almiron to get his first goal for us.
There is no sin except stupidity.
Re: Match day thread - Toon vs Everton
Tough game today - but with Brighton beating Palace, great chance to move up the table if we can win. Could go 12th (more likely 13th with Bournemouth away at Huddersfield)
I had the first custom w***
