Match day - Arsenal v TOON
Arsenal (a)
Following the international break, Newcastle return to Premier League action this evening against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.
Saturday's results made our position in the table look less comfortable but the final few minutes of Cardiff City's game made for pleasant viewing.
A blatantly offside goal followed by an added time winner for Chelsea snatched victory away from Neil Warnock's side, leaving them seven points behind us with six games remaining.
Since Andy Carroll's headed winner there in November 2010, the Magpies have made six visits to N7 - and lost every single one of them.
It's an 8pm kick-off, live on Sky Sports.
NUFC: Sean Longstaff is a long-term absentee, while Fabian Schar completes his two match ban.
Jamaal Lascelles has now returned to training while Miguel Almiron, Christian Atsu and DeAndre Yedlin reportedly picked up knocks while on international duty, but none are thought to be significant.
AFC: Granit Xhaka, Dinos Mavropanos and Aaron Ramsey are all doubtful.
Unai Emery's side are in formidable home form, taking 39 points from a possible 48 so far this season. Their only blemishes were an opening weekend 0-2 loss to Manchester City and 1-1 draws against Liverpool and Wolves.
The Gunners played a game in Dubai during the international break, winning 3-2 against Al Nasr in a friendly staged to open their new stadium.
Travel: No scheduled disruptions.
Travel update: They seem to have done their best to keep it quiet, but LNER are running a (slow) train back to Newcastle on Monday night, departing from London Kings Cross at 11pm.
Timings for this are as follows:
11.44 Peterborough (set down only)
00.13 Grantham (set down only)
00:25 Newark North Gate (set down only)
00:58 Doncaster (set down only)
01:32 York
02:24 Darlington
02:43 Durham
03:13 Newcastle
In terms of ticket validity, where you stand if you booked to return on Tuesday before this service appeared on the timetables is anyone's guess.
All we can do is suggest that you call them - and if you need to book a ticket, then don't forget about the NUFC member discount.
Another Monday night trek at the behest of live TV follows those made to Turf Moor and Molineux this season and means we will have endured no less than 13* successive Monday PL TV switches since a home one.

December 2012 was the last time we played a PL home game on a Monday night. It's pretty disgraceful.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2019 8:28 amWow a 03:13 return, fair play to fans making the trip.

Not too bothered about what happens tonight, expecting a loss so anything else will be a bonus. Palace at home on Saturday is winnable, and with Cardiff losing on Sunday it doesn't really matter a great deal what happens tonight.

We really never get blown out under Rafa, so I really don't expect some of the scores people are predicting. Nonetheless, still predicting a loss, maybe 2-1 or 2-0.
