Re: The Managerial Merry-Go-Round Thread
Didn’t he finish 8th with Everton? He had a good spell there considering where they were when he took over.

Re: The Managerial Merry-Go-Round Thread
I think what I'd add to that though is what Allardyce does is get underperforming players playing in a way that makes it easier to get results. Individually he doesn't improve players, and when he leaves clubs they're in exactly the same near relegation spot that he joined them in, but he knows how to play the percentages and just about survive. With West Brom he's got a Championship quality team and I really think he'll struggle, unless he's backed in January, at which point you have to feel for Bilic.

Yep he was decent before he was given unlimited cash to throw at players, wouldn't be a problem with us.

I think he done well there, even in terms of transfers, he made a lot signings there which obviously need time to settle.
I'll Hazard a guess

Re: The Managerial Merry-Go-Round Thread
Agreed, a lot of relatively young signings at that. When they were conceding too many goals he got that under control, and now it's swung the other way and their attacking play has stalled.lassassinblanc wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 12:15 pmI think he done well there, even in terms of transfers, he made a lot signings there which obviously need time to settle.

Re: The Managerial Merry-Go-Round Thread
At bit late but never mind....
Chelsea's Roman Abramovich,
Makes yet another managerial switch,
Calls the local taxi rank,
Says send one over to pick up Frank,
Early December Chelsea were on top,
A dip in form saw them drop,
Only two wins out of the last eight,
Was enough to seal Lampard's fate.
