Players you randomly miss
What's the player who's left the club who perhaps wasn't the highest profile or the most talented that you miss?
For me, Jesus Gamez. Only played one or two games but was a solid backup at left back and a decent bloke, but I also remember there being talks of him helping the young mags. I appreciated a first team player helping the youngsters when it probably wasn't part of his contact, especially as he had been a defender for one of the best defensive teams in the world (athletico). I get that he was past his best, but I wish he had stayed on as a coach on some level.

Can't think of anyone too recent , but first one to come to mind is probably James Perch, was a bit gutted when he left, he had a good journey with us and I honestly thought he still had more to give around the time he left.

That's exactly who I was thinking. Was a bit crap at first but he really came on, did a shift no matter what position he was played in. Just sort of got shafted in the end, which was a shame.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 12:56 pmCan't think of anyone too recent , but first one to come to mind is probably James Perch, was a bit gutted when he left, he had a good journey with us and I honestly thought he still had more to give around the time he left.

Good shout, he was outstanding for a short spell and one of the only "proper" wingers I can remember at the club, his sale seemed very sudden.
Reckon Diame will be in here in a couple of months...

One quote about him was from a bloke sat next to me. He went to trap a ball near the touchline, missed it completely and the ball went for a throw in. The bloke said “fuckin hell man, did your hair get in your eyes?”
