Right now it seems like they have agreed a takeover deal but MA is giving this apparent 2nd bidder a chance to better the deal he will get from BZG before signing off, I hope the Bruce stuff is all a load of bollocks and betting driven because I honestly think if he's appointed that means we are stuck with MA and his cronies for the next year at least.

So who is this 2nd bidder? Kenyon and his US backers?

Those are the major 4, but there have also been rumours about McVities, Vince McMahon, return of Freddie Shepherd, Saudis, Bin Laden family, Chinese, and I'm sure more that I'm forgetting.
Well I started 3 of those, so I wouldn't read too much into them :bandit:
Which gives them as much chance as any of the others <laugh>

I can't help but wonder what BZG envision for running the club? Like do they have some smart footballing people in mind (or already lined up) to guide the club? That's the key thing for any football club takeover - the owners themselves don't know how to run a club, and the success is all about employing the right people to set up the club's infrastructure, and then operate it.

Joshua Harris and David Blitzer are the second bidders supposedly.

The delay is around the sale of their shares in Crystal Palace going through which has to happen before the Premier League will allow them to purchase us.

Interesting that when stories broke in March that they wanted to sell their shares, it seemed as those reporting didn't have a sense as to why they wanted out after 4 years, and simply referenced that they'd lost out in their support of equal tv revenue sharing among clubs.

I'll seriously rather take Pardew than Bruce. God just no. Viera, Gerrard, Arteta and the like would be better. Something young, refreshing, exciting and risky.
I had a nightmare Pardew actually came back. I think I would marginally prefer Bruce as Steve Bruce is at least not a horrendous person. Just a s**** manager. Pardew is both.
<awe> At least Pardew got us into the Europa League. I'll have Pardew over any of the ''tried and trusted old gang'' like Moyes, Allardeci, Hughes, Bruce, etc. Just get Pardew on a one year deal see how it goes.. we could either flirt with relegation again or get a couple gems like Ben Arfa, Cisse and Ba to fire us into European contention. <awe>

Doubt he was offered the job, he's a money loving bastard and was probably paid to do that interview.

My agent spoke to me about it and I thought, "Mike already bought me a villa in Spain and do I really want two villas?" so I said no.

It's crazy when someone like Florez is available for free alright he might not be everyone's choice but f***ing hell he's a way better option than Bruce.
