Re: Other Clubs Transfer Deals (Summer 2019)
Why would any club spending money on buying players before trying to sell the club? If they've already agreed a price, it should come as no surprise that they're not spending more money in the interim - it isn't going to result the price going up.

Kinda annoying how every other team can seemingly squeeze silly money out of clubs, then you have us bringing through the best talent in a long time in Longstaff and he's touted about for £25m all whilst the Wan Bissakas of the league are bring in £50m

Wan Bissaka has played Premier League football for 2 seasons at least tho hasn’t he?Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 8:51 pmKinda annoying how every other team can seemingly squeeze silly money out of clubs, then you have us bringing through the best talent in a long time in Longstaff and he's touted about for £25m all whilst the Wan Bissakas of the league are bring in £50m

John McGinn supposedly being linked to man u for 50m a better example of silly money. If that turns out to be remotely true, mind.

Man U look so desperate at times like this. If you're going to get raked over the coals for young players like this, just wait for the players to run out their contracts and then sign them. Imagine how much money owners would save if they just waited to buy players out of contract - like every other sport on earth. I know, I know, they want to win now, but it's just crazy what's become of the transfer market in the past decade.

£70m for Maguire! Anyone else not see what the fuss about him is? He’s a decent enough defender, but never have I looked at him and thought wow he stands out.

I imagine there are 20 other international defenders just as good as him they could get for 45m less. But what do I know? It seems as though they're going to spend hundreds of millions for marginal gains.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 2:25 pm£70m for Maguire! Anyone else not see what the fuss about him is? Yeah, but now that he’s an En-ger-land regular he’s got to be worth at least £70m because England are just so good and Southgate is the greatest manager in the world (until he meets a half decent side and loses).Remember Colo wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 2:56 pmI imagine there are 20 other international defenders just as good as him they could get for 45m less. I mean, don't get me wrong. I completely understand why English teams demand gigantic fees. Leicester doesn't need money and would just be extorted for giant fees to replace him, so they may as well demand an arm and a leg for a player under contract. He means more to them than he would to Man U, or I should say, it'd be harder for them to replace him than for Man U to find someone else.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 4:47 pmYeah, but now that he’s an En-ger-land regular he’s got to be worth at least £70m because England are just so good and Southgate is the greatest manager in the world (until he meets a half decent side and loses).Remember Colo wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 2:56 pm

What's happened to Sissoko on that list?

Re: Other Clubs Transfer Deals (Summer 2019)
Should still count though as that's the fee, it's not optional installments. Most transfers are reported as a full fee even if it's in part payments I thought

Yeah come to think of it they normally are. Unless that list of Spurs players is just outright initial fees?
