Newcastle vs Watford
Here's me going for 2/2 on the league match threads! Queue Newcastle getting hammered now
Despite last night's result, I'm still feeling like we can take something from Watford. Hopefully the likes of Joelinton, Almiron, Lascelles etc are fit enough. If not then we've got an uphill struggle. Would like to see:
Dubravka
Schar Lascelles Dummett
Krafth S. Longstaff Hayden Ritchie
Almiron Atsu
Joelinton
2-1 win for the Toon!

Don’t think it’ll be an easy game but hoping for a 2-1 win, hopefully with a late winner for maximum excitement

Well Ritchie is surely out with ligament damage?

Re: Newcastle vs Watford
I've a feeling Fernandez will start, not sure Lascelles is fully fit yet, and the former doesn't exactly deserve to be dropped. Who will play at LWB could be interesting, likely will be Willems. Unless Dummett moves across with Schar Fernandez Lascelles in the middle? I think ASM is supposed to be out for at least a couple of weeks.
Wouldn't be opposed to Muto starting if Joelinton isn't ready, he should be getting more of a chance as second choice forward really. If he starts then Willems at lwb is a must so he can turn provider again

Manquillo, Dummett and Willems can all play LWB so got a few options.

Re: Newcastle vs Watford
Is Willems confirmed fit? He limped off too. We could end up with Manquillo right and Dummett left.

Re: Newcastle vs Watford
Expecting a turgid old affair here. Hopefully Newcastle can play some joined up football and show enough to eek a win here, really need it.
Watford for all that they are bottom feeders and three slaps straight , well, who else would they want to play to correct that stat.
1-0 Toon, Miggi to score and then we'll scrape home...........................just

s***. No idea why some people wanted him out of the club, critical player if you ask me. That’s a blow.

Spot on. He’d be first on my team sheet every week with Dummet close behind.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2019 10:43 ams***. No idea why some people wanted him out of the club, critical player if you ask me. That’s a blow.
Supporting the Toon since 1972.

I'm sure there were people on here last season / over the close season who made reference to him not being good enough.

Re: Newcastle vs Watford
Ritchie out until October? f***. Our injury list hasn't been this bad in a long while.
Re: Newcastle vs Watford
Not good enough for the first team if we want to progress. Theres a world of difference between that and wanting to get ridBodacious Benny wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2019 12:46 pmI'm sure there were people on here last season / over the close season who made reference to him not being good enough.

Re: Newcastle vs Watford
Feckin injury list and injury speculation growing at an alarming rate ASM three weeks now, Ritchie two months, Miggy and Joelinton ffs. Hopefully a bit of bluff and bluster with the latter two.

at left wing back, despite the fact he's not a left wing back. an indictment of our first team/recruitment more than anything elseBodacious Benny wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2019 5:18 pmApart from he’s easily good enough for the first team.
