Great win, good performance. If any of our strikers could score in a brothel we'd have won that comfortably.

2 points off fifth.... let’s get carried qwqy

Great win. Yes the front 3 need to score more - but for me all three were good today.
Also amazing performance from our 4th, 5th and 6th choice centre backs today!!
Yedlin MOTM for me but easily could’ve been any of the back 5.

He looked slow and overweight in his last appearance, doesn't get into the positions or offer anything at all really.Donkey Toon wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 4:45 pmNot a big fan of Gayle but given the chances our front 3 have been getting he'd have scored half a dozen so far this season. Time to give somebody else a try.

Bruce is genuinely better than Rafa.

Rafa was cautious but effective as our manager, the one negative in hindsight is that he convinced us that his way was the only way for us to survive, he downplayed our quality/players far too much which in turn made himself look godlike. Still he did a fantastic job for us in tough circumstances.
Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth
Very harsh I think. Yes Rafa was great at controlling the narrative - but look at the evidence, the teams who stay up don’t concede a lot of goals. Defenders win championships etc.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 6:02 pmRafa was cautious but effective as our manager, the one negative in hindsight is that he convinced us that his way was the only way for us to survive, he downplayed our quality/players far too much which in turn made himself look godlike. That said - I have really veered between optimism and pessimism with Steve Bruce, but 15 from 12 is a good return. With a fair haul more expected before Christmas.

Ive never had a problem with being defensive minded, Its the negative mindset that was implemented with it, I think under Rafa, today we would have just sat back and not crossed the half way line when we went 2-1 up, under Bruce we are a little more positive and still attack when we're ahead, which in turn gives teams something to think about rather than just letting them lay siege to our goal and have us rely solely on defensive ability.Speedo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 6:05 pmVery harsh I think. Anyone know the MOTD running order?
Missed the game again so looking forward to watching it. I'm at work though so I'll have to time my break!

Only saw a few updates on twitter but they hadn’t conceded in 3 games so to come from behind to win is great. Still a concern that our attackers can’t score but when our defenders are on fire it doesn’t matter for now

Just watched the highlights. Great run from Yedlin, 2d goal scrappy but great following in again. KSM causing all sorts of problems but should have had 2, needs to start putting them away, Almiron chance was unlucky. Good win and 3 points against a good side. Great chance to get 3 in a row vs villa , which I regrettably have a ticket for.

I think he is doing better than Rafa and the football is more enjoyable to watch. So on that basis I agree. In terms of historical achievements in management he obviously isn't.
But as I am not a Rafa fan I'm with you. Nothing has annoyed me more in recent years than the unjustified praise given to Rafa's performance as our manager.
