Well that is just daft. Get mobile updates from Macclesfield, Gateshead, Newcastle, no way when I checked my phone, resigned to defeat did I expect the two goals that popped up to be ours, never mind Lejunes. Unreal.

Obviously very happy with the result but again it’s glossing over a shocking performance . We were atrocious last night night and it’s being said a lot more regularly .
Scraped a win and a draw in last two games which could, and shoul have been two losses.
As I say I’m very happy to be picking up points but this style of football has been shocking

I don't disagree but at this point we don't have much else. When Atsu is playing, our only striker has to come off injured for a centre half, and the only fit senior CM is covering a gap at full back you'd have to say we're at bare bones.Toondes wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 6:49 amObviously very happy with the result but again it’s glossing over a shocking performance . Just feel completely the same. Lose the last two, which we probably should have, and we're three points above the relegation zone and in a world of trouble.Toondes wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 6:49 amObviously very happy with the result but again it’s glossing over a shocking performance . Should we have lost to Chelsea? I'm not saying that we 'deserved' the 3 points but I didn't at the end of the game think 'wow we should have lost that'. Same with Wolves away, sure they had most possession and Dubravka made one excellent save, but other than that they struggled to create too many clear chances so I wouldn't say a point was unreasonable. I can't comment on last nights game as I was out so only saw the score.Captain Obvious wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 9:27 amJust feel completely the same. Regardless of style of play etc. to have 30 points in mid-January is great. And I'm sure there will have been a few games that we lost but actually deserved something out of them. This season was always going to be strange. Rafa was super defensive for what, 3.5 years? That's drilled into the players minds and takes time to change. But with the likes of Saint-Maximim and now Bentaleb who's more attack minded coming in, and full backs (shame Willems got injured) having more freedom to bomb forward you can see Bruce is trying to change the mindset. But it won't happy overnight, I'm pretty happy with how things are going.
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?

Just seen the highlights. Our first goal is amazing technically. The second, lol at Pickford doing a star jump backwards for a shot that never comes. ahahaha
On Chelsea game and deserving. We created very little (did hit bar) and they had loads of the ball. But our organisation made them feckless with possession, got to give credit for blunting them.

Agree entirely on Chelsea, I think a draw would have been a pretty fair result. They didn't create a huge amount and we hit the bar first half. No idea on last night but I'll take it!Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 9:42 amShould we have lost to Chelsea? Oh yea all of little faith
I told you we'd attack relentlessy at some point. That point just so happened to be the 94th minute onwards.
Again.

A message from Hoan My Clean,
Last night's game he has just seen,
It seemed we were in for a dusting,
But with some tactical re-adjusting,
A defender playing up front,
Sweeping forward with some grunt,
The Everton defence did demolish,
And finished off with some polish.

Happy with the result, not surprised given the line-up and changes how bad we looked for much of it. I think the only player in the entire team who wanted to keep the ball was Almiron, with just about everyone else seemingly terrified of it. I'm all for any new players who actually know what to do with a football at their feet.
