Presumably it also allows us to play him higher if ASM picks up a muscle injury and gets Almiron to his favoured left side. Works for me.Captain Obvious wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 9:49 amHe'll slot straight in on the right hand side of our back 5 and provide more of an attacking threat than Yedlin or Manquillo. Can't see there being an effect on ASM or Miggy who both play much further up.

Needs to be registered by COB Friday to play in the FA Cup I believe so 5pm (Premier League rules is 12pm) so once medical is completed by then should be fine.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 1:01 pmBruce has all but confirmed it now. Seems they are just working on registering him for tomorrow

Ritchie is technically out of position at LWB, but that's also his best position in the Premier League.Remember Colo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 9:07 pmNot sure where the "shoehorned RWB" comes from when RM and RB are the positions he's played most in his career? Or that he's necessarily just being bought for his attacking ability. At the moment he would potentially be replacing Hayden, who is playing completely out of position, or Ritchie who is also playing out of position at LWB.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 6:20 pm
The only problem with that is it sacrifices Ritchie, Yedlin/Manquillo and would put even more defensive responsibility onto Almiron, also Lazaro would essentially carry on being a shoehorned RWB when we have more natural players for that position, doesnt make sense to me that we would buy someone for their attacking ability and have them defending most of the game.

Re: In talks: Valentino Lazaro
If we played differently I think he'd still be productive enough as a winger, and should Rose come in I assume he'll get more time there too. For everyone talking about how it'll impact other players - I think we can safely assume there'll continue being enough injuries for everyone healthy to find playing time.ALF wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 7:12 pmRitchie is technically out of position at LWB, but that's also his best position in the Premier League.Remember Colo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 9:07 pm
