The Big Injury Thread
The Big Injury Thread
While things have somewhat settled down with the sheer amount of injuries happening with Newcastle United, they're no longer dropping like flies at least, the number has dropped from at one point to a staggering 16(!) down to 6, but three of those are out for the rest of season
We have come out of the tunnel and step into the dreary grey skies...
List is as follows.
Emil Krafth - ankle/foot - out until next month by the earliest. (picked up jan 24th)
Andy Carroll - hip/groin/pelvic - supposedly back next month too, but I won't hold my breath. (out since feb 4th)
Jack Colback - why even bother including him? (out since jan 3rd)
Paul Dummett - groin/ thigh - out for rest of season.
Jetro Willems - out for rest of season
Ciaran Clark - ankle/foot - out for the rest of the season

Our injury luck really is awful, Bruce has had a lot of stick for it but it's always been awful.

I thought Colback wasn't in the first team squad so he doesn't matter.

He's still on the books, along with saivetUlversToon wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 12:15 pmI thought Colback wasn't in the first team squad so he doesn't matter.

Looks like we can add clark, looked a pretty nasty roll of the ankle, thought it was a break at first, but managed to walk off.

If it's not then it should be. It's crazy to think that 1/4 of his PL goals were scored for us across a couple of seasons at the start of his career.

Re: The Big Injury Thread
Yeah, injuries have totally ruined him. He made his PL debut in 2007 so it makes you wonder what sort of player he could have been without the injuries and discipline problems.Colback's Orange Tufts wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 11:28 amreally?biggeordiedave wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 10:40 am

Newcastle: 14 goals in 53 apps (26.4%)
Liverpool: 6 goals in 44 apps (11.3%)
West Ham: 33 goals in 126 apps (62.3%)
Total Goals: 53
Total Apps: 223 across 13 seasons, 11 of which he was or could have been a regular starter.

Professional foul wasn't it? 1 match ban?

Re: The Big Injury Thread
That’s what I thought. Violent conduct is 3 games, or serious foul play and it was neither.

Personally one of the CBs I’d play every week. Rarely makes a mistake and offers more goals than pretty much anyone in the team

Was listening to a podcast and they were saying Carroll might not play again this season.
