Yeah i've got a couple of cd's of his. Litany and A Portrait. I need to get more actually because I really like it.
Pretty sure you recommended him to me actually.

Do you know any more stuff with that kind of sound? I absolutely love bass-heavy, dirty stoner rock!
Edit: Talking about that Om album btw.
Oo I thought you were talking about Talk Talk for a minute there. You are so lucky
Actually I quite like that Om album as well. Gets a lot heavier after the intro and not at all like DCD. So my bad for opening my mouth before i'd heard enough to make an intelligent comment.
Edit: the final track on that Om album "Haqq al-Yaqin" is mint. Really good stuff.

Ah cool, good selections. Yeah I possibly did - he's the sort I usually force onto people at every opportunity!

Anekdoten are a pretty bass-pounding band. I think I may have pushed their album Gravity onto you in the album swap, CMaR . This track of theirs has a pretty quality grungy-bassy core to it:

Have you tried Girls Against Boys?
As the lyrics in this song suggest they actually deploy two bass players and heavy bass is sort of their thing.

And Curve. Different bass style but very heavy.

Does anyone know / like the band Spector? I usually shy away from generic indie-pop type sound but I've been listening to them quite a bit recently.
Suppose they're not far different from early Killers sound.

The internet is jizzing over this new Adele song, Hello. I don't understand why. It's totally boring, average, Emeli Sande s****.

Never been much of a fan of The National but Matt Berninger's side project El Vy is actually pretty decent in a throwaway catchy pop way. Dunno why he's gone for the s*** Jurgen Klopp look though.

It's the same with any overhyped artist. She could literally record seven hours of herself farting into a trombone and it would go straight to number 1 and would be talked about as though it was a musical masterpiece.

To be fair that would be an improvement on anything else she has done so far.

Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys. I'd never listened to the full album before but it is amazing
