Well, Cowboy Dan's a major player in the cowboy scene
He goes to the reservation, drinks and gets mean
He's gonna start a war

Yeah, Wilson put out a few good albums in a row, Lightbulb Sun and In Absentia. I've hated everything he's done since and his earlier stuff is hit or miss.

I think In absentia is his best for a while. i like deadwing and fear of a blank planet since, but not his last 2 records. having said that, if he was around in the late 60 and 70s he would be huge now.

Well that's because a lot of his huge influences come from the 70s,80s and 90s. If he was around in the late 60s and early 70s he wouldn't have made the same sort of music because the influence wouldnt have been there.

In Absentia is definitely the best though, I still give it the odd listen now - Trains is a brilliant song. I think he is an awful producer though and I wish he would stop remastering classic prog albums for 5.1 Systems and just leave them in peace. He did it to In The Land of Grey & Pink recently and I still spit blood when I think about it now <laugh>.

True, very true. I wish he would concentrate on writing not producing as its not his forté. Having said that, anything he brings out is still better than the charts so i will listen to it anyways.
