Moz and The Smiths

Greatest lyricist there's been. On a par with Nigel Blackwell.

The Smiths were nothing without Johnny Marr <whistle>

The Peel Session version of This Charming Man is my favourite song by them.

That was on Hatful of Hollow wasn't it? Funnily enough it's the first version of the song and first Smiths song I heard so it always reminds me of those troubled teenage years, sitting in a darkened room.

I made a shirt with "A smile lights up her stupid face" written on it.

Got a lot of odd looks with that on.

Probably my favourite Smiths song, but then again it always changes and at the minute my favourite album is 'Meat is murder'.

What would you guys suggest as entry level Smiths? I've never really thought they were that great but seeing how people can rave about them i thought it'd be time to try them out.

One of the songs which I instantly liked by the Smiths is the first one that the Wilde One posted, Nowhere Fast. Try that.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them but then again I'm completely obsessed.
