I love the song, but not keen on the intro. RIP Randy.cabluigi wrote:

Re: Best Intro Ever
Not the best ever but I just heard it on a mix and was reminded of this thread, beautiful intro.

Re: Best Intro Ever
The intro with the strongest repsonse for me is Three Lions 98. I think the 96 version is better, but the commentary of Southgate's miss gets me every time.
Elbow's starlings is great start to their album, start quiet and then Boom it hits you
As for the worst (since no-one asked). I love QOTSA's Songs for the Deaf, but so many tracks have stupid talking/radio intros. Similar to rap albums that have 'skits' at the start

Love I Wanna Be Adored but partly because it reminds me of this which is probably my favourite. Also long build into great bassline with guitars chiming in.
Re: Best Intro Ever
Some of my faves
Re: Best Intro Ever
I'm not sure what's better with Knights of Cydonia, the intro or the outro
I like this guitar
EDIT - With Song For The Deaf, aren't the stupid talking parts at the end and not the beginning?
