Recommended Headphones?
Not related to this, but has anyone got any recommendations for decent noise excluding headphones? I'm looking to get a pair soon (preferably over ear rather than in ear ones).

Anything by Sennheiser. I don't know how much you're looking to spend but I tend to find that more expensive doesn't always mean greater quality when it comes to earphones/headphones.

What's the issue with over ear phones?
Also echoing Sennheiser for quality. I haven't changed brand in over a decade now.

I'm a bit cynical that in-ear noise excluding ones aren't as effective?Juliet Papa Golf wrote:Over the ear headphonesBodacious Benny wrote:Not related to this, but has anyone got any recommendations for decent noise excluding headphones? I had a pair of Sony in ears that were amazing for noise excluding, the only issue was the price.Bodacious Benny wrote:I'm a bit cynical that in-ear noise excluding ones aren't as effective?Juliet Papa Golf wrote:

The old man bought me a pair of Bose overear headphones a while ago and they're amazing. They're by far the most comfortable headphones I've ever had. I've also got what are probably one of the lower end pairs of Sennheiser's which were about £30 (I think) and are great for the money. But Bose definintely if you're going to spring for a pair
I dunno

Had the Sennheiser HD515 for a few years now, great headphones.I've not heard anyone who's owned Sennheiser say a bad word about them.skalpel wrote:What's the issue with over ear phones?

To piggyback on the OP, I've never been able to use over ear ones cos my lugs stick out too much and subsequently hurt when pressed in. Recommendations?

How would you know? Don't your headphones drown out any potential complaints?TSI wrote:Had the Sennheiser HD515 for a few years now, great headphones.I've not heard anyone who's owned Sennheiser say a bad word about them.skalpel wrote:What's the issue with over ear phones?

Re: Recommended Headphones?
Seriously though, Sennheiser HD439 are very comfortable. I used to get massive headaches from tight headphones but I use these for day to day listening now and they've got plenty of give. You can stretch the band plenty as well to make them looser.
